The co-organizing authority will be the Japan Sailing Federation. |

4.1 Unless excused by the organizing authority,
attendance at the following is mandatory: |

| (a) |
The skippers meeting. |
| (b) |
The daily press conferences, for skippers sailing
that day |
| (c) |
The welcome party, sponsorﾕs race, sponsorﾕs party,
awards ceremony for skippers and crews. |

|
| 5. |
Skippers eligibility |
| |
| (a) |
Eight skippers will be invited. |
| (b) |
The designated skipper shall helm the yacht at all
times while racing, except in an emergency. |
| (c) |
To remain eligible a skipper shall confirm acceptance
of invitation in writing, (fax or e-mail is acceptable) to be received
by the date specified on the letter of invitation. |
| (d) |
All competitors shall meet the eligibility requirements
of the organizers. |

Entries |
| |
The skipper shall be entered on completion of registration,
crew weighing and the payment of all fees and deposits. |
| |
|
| |
6.１Damage deposit |
| |
| (a) |
An initial damage deposit of 100,000 yen (approximately
US $ 1,000) shall be paid at registration, unless extended by the
organizing authority. This deposit is the maximum payable by the skipper
as a result of any one incident. |
| (b) |
Any remaining deposit after the event will be refunded
by 20 November. |
| (c) |
In the event that a deduction from the damage deposit
is decided by the organizing authority, it may require that the deposit
be restored to its original amount before the skipper will be permitted
to continue in the event. |

| 7. |
Rules |
| |
The following rules shall govern the event:
The current ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), including Appendix C.
The notice of race, including amendments.
The sailing instructions (available at registration) and any amendments,
including the rules for the handling of boats, which shall also apply to
practice sailing. |

| 8. |
Boats and Sails |
| |
| (a) |
The event will be sailed in Beneteau First 31.7 |
| (b) |
Eight boats will be provided |
| (c) |
The following sails will be provided for each boat:
Mainsail, Genoa, Jib, Spinnaker |
| (d) |
Boats will be allocated by draw, as decided by the
race committee |

|
| 9. |
Crew (including skipper) |
| |
| (a) |
The number of crew (including the skipper) shall
be four. All registered crew shall sail all races. |
| (b) |
The maximum total crew weight, determined prior to
racing shall be 350kg when wearing at least shorts and shirts. |
| (c) |
When a registered skipper is unable to continue in
the event the International Jury may authorize an original crew member
to substitute. |
| (d) |
When a registered crew member is unable to continue
in the event the International Jury may authorize a substitute, a
temporary substitute or other adjustment. |

| 10. |
Event Format |
| |
| (a) |
The event will consist of the following
rounds: |

Round 1 - Double round robin
Round 2 - Semi final
Round 3 - Final |
| (b) |
The race committee may vary the format,
terminate or eliminate any round, when conditions do not permit the
completion of the intended format. |

| 11. |
Course |
| |
| (a) |
The course will be windward/leeward with starboard
roundings, finishing downwind. |
| (b) |
The intended course area will be off Hayama Marina,
with no current. |
|
| |
|
| 12. |
Advertising |
| |
| (a) |
The event will be classified as Category C in accordance
with RRS Appendix G and approved by the national authority. |
| (b) |
Each boat will be required to display advertising
as required by the organizing authority. |
| (c) |
Competitors will not be required to wear clothing
or a logo of an event sponsor while racing or at official functions. |
| (d) |
Any advertising displayed by competitors on clothing
(while racing or attending official functions), on boats or anywhere
within the boundary of the regatta venue shall be approved in writing
by the organizing authority. The organizing authority may refuse to
give such approval for any reason including conflicts with another
advertiserﾕs business interests. |
| (e) |
Boats shall not be permitted the right to protest
for infringements of any rules regarding advertising (amends RRS 60.1). |

| 13. |
Prizes |
| |
| (a) |
The Nippon Cup will be awarded to the winner of the
regatta. |
| (b) |
The total amount of prize money will be seven million-yen. |
| (c) |
The organizing authority may reduce a prize in the
case of misconduct or refusal to comply with any reasonable request,
including attendance at official functions. |

| 14. |
Media, Images and Sound |
| |
The organizing authority may require competitors
to be available for interviews. The organizing authority shall have the
right to use any images and sound recorded during the event free of any
charge. |

| |
All those taking part in the event do so at
their own risk. The organizing authority, its associates and appointees
accept no responsibility for any loss, damage, injury, or inconvenience
incurred, howsoever caused. |

skippers. |
