On November 16, NIPPON CUP 2004 conducted
the Celebrity Race, inviting anchor persons
from Japanese Major TV Stations. The five
members are as follows: Tsuyoshi Tanaka,
Nippon TV; Yuriko Takahata, TBS; Saori Ishimoto,
Fuji TV; Taku Furusawa, TV Asahi; and Miho
Ohashi, TBS. Each of them joined the competitors'
teams - Kazuto Seki,Ed Baird, Jes Gram-Hansen,
Peter Guilmour, and Philippe Presti - and
they took the tillers of the boats by themselves.
It was a very fine day with
gentle breeze in Hayama, fit for the Celebrity
Race. However, quite contrary to the weather
conditions, "It was really an exciting
battle!" commented by Kazuto Seki.As
the result of the very close competition,
Yuriko Takahata, TBS with Ed Baird Team won
the Celebrity Race. The winners received
the gold medals, pizza for one year from
Pizza-La and Yen 50,000 worth of coupons
from Red Lobster as the prize. |
