友人に誘われ１３歳から湖でセーリングを始め、４７０級で頭角を表した。１９９２年からマッチレースに参加し、９４年から自らチームを率いて世界を転戦する。過去にはマッチレース･ランキング６位にまで上がったことがある。
一方、マッチレース以外でも多くの経験を持ち、バートランド・パシェのタクティシャンとしても活躍した。

Additional Information:
Frenchman Luc Pillot has been on the match racing circuit since
1992, either skippering his own crew or
sailing with other skippers. He gained much of his experience while
sailing as tactician for fellow countryman
Bertrand Pace, before establishing his own team in 1994.
Luc was introduced to sailing by a friend when he was 13 and started
on a lake in Paris, being successful in the 470 Olympic class dinghy
before getting involved with match racing.
Pillot is married with three children. He is a physical education
teacher in the winter months, when there is no sailing. |
