葉山マリーナヨットクラブ(以下HMYC、日本セーリング連盟特別加盟団体)は、2016年度インターナショナルフレンドシップレガッタを　6月11日（土）に開催することにいたしました。なお、本大会の詳細については後日通知いたします。

　HMYCでは、2014年度よりアメリカズカップ参加国を中心とした各国在日大使館との友好親善を目的としたヨットレースを開催しており、今回が第3回大会となります。大会は各国チームをHMYCのホストチームがサポートするかたちで行われ、例年数か月前から事前準備や練習などが行われます。本大会を通じて各国チームとHMYCメンバー相互のコミュニケーションを活発なものにしています。

　 昨年度大会は、京浜急行電鉄（株）と（株）葉山マリーナーの協賛のもと、日本セーリング連盟、外務省、文部科学省、地元自治体からの後援を得てレースが行われ、フランス大使館チームが2度目の優勝を果たしました。今回も各国大使館チームから本大会への熱い期待が寄せられています。また、レース当日の表彰パーティーは、各国大使館関係者や協賛後援団体のご来賓の方々との有意義な社交の機会となっています。葉山マリーナヨットクラブでは、今後もこのような国際交流事業を通じ諸外国との友好親善を深めていきたいと思っています。

Hayama Marina Yacht Club (an elite member of the Japan Sailing Federation) is proud to announce that the International Friendship Regatta will be held on Saturday, the 11th of June, 2016. Regatta, team planning, and preparation details will be released shortly. In support of the 2014 America's Cup philosophy to expand the international sailing community and encourage the core values of sportsmanship, friendship and international understanding, we wish to invite members of Japan's expansive Embassy community, friends and family, to join us as we celebrate the Third Annual International Friendship Regatta. All interested countries and their representatives will be sponsored and coached by an HMYC host team. Each embassy team will be supported by a counterpart racing team- the goal of this relationship is to encourage communication, practice together and build national team spirit on and off the water. All practices will be coordinated either by the Regatta Committee and/or by you and your host team. Practicing several months in advance allows each team to improve their sailing skills. Embassy sailors, sponsors, volunteers, family and friends often find that diligent practice, hard work and lots of fun are duly rewarded during the post regatta cocktail party, awards ceremony and dinner. By improving our communication skills, increasing our dedication to good practice, fun sailing and 'race readiness,' and by making sure we, as an international sailing community enjoy our time on the water, we can insure that this year's event will be a big hit.
